The Arcadian Quilters and Patchworkers are a group of like-minded souls with a passion for creating quilts and beautiful objects from fabric. I was lucky enough to find this group a couple of years ago and was warmly welcomed by all.
Together they make quilts for pleasure and produce quilts for charities, hospitals and nursing homes in the area.
We meet at the Galston Community Centre, which provides a great place for sharing skills and stories with excellent facilities for morning teas.
The venue is conducive to friendly and helpful interaction between all those attending. The Arcadian Quilters also hold a Biennial Quilt Show, the next one in 2019, and the quilts are amazing, large and small, made by the members of our group.
We meet at the Galston Community Centre, 17 Arcadia Road Galston, on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, starting at 10am. There is also an evening group that meet every 2nd and 4th Monday evening.
Our last meeting for 2018 is on Wednesday 19th December, and our first meeting for 2019 is on January 30th. Please check out our Facebook page, and for more information please phone Carole on 9894 7749.
Come along and join us.
